Did 30km yesterday
Head strong, heart strong, lungs strong but knees in agony for last 2km
I think it’s because I didn’t do enough training to get distance into my legs - went from 20km straight to 30km
(Or is it because I’m 45 years old!)
Well done. Very good
I thought the wind by Hove lawns made a difference. You?
I think you are second, as there is a 1.28 post
But to be fair to you, I also arrived late and started at 9.05 and weaving around the walkers (!!!) and 2-hour crew does lose time/use energy
Wow
Very impressive. Well done
I was 1.36 and the wind in the last 5k did make a difference, I agree
I also blame the Albion. A record equalling top flight victory forced me to drink 8 pints yesterday. I felt every one around the 9 mile mark!
Just started another thread in case anyone else is doing the London marathon tomorrow.. be good to hear from you... always a boost to spot another Albion fan
1.37.00 for me (oh for that extra second)
I had the blue Albion training top on for those that may have been watching. The SEAGULLS chants from the crowd definitely helped!
