I almost feel sorry for them.
They are about to go through what we have been going through for the last 2+ years. The moment you start to see real progression or success the ‘big 6’ will come in for your best players and now increasingly your management team.
It’s actually not fair and goes...
Palace were missing Eze & Olise for most of this season. No coincidence that they have picked up since they are both back AND they have a new manager who isn't obsessed with a low block.
Their biggest challenge is going to be next season when they WILL lose at least one of them. If they don't...
You're aware of 2 small points though right?
1. You were playing a WHU team dead on their feet.
2. There is little chance that Eze and Olise are both still with you next season. It's shit (as we know only too well) but it's the way it works.
I'm glad you're enjoying some non-attritional...
2 weeks is a long time in football. If we haven't added anyone by the 1st of Feb then we might have a very unhappy manager of our own. If you still have Roy and if he sets up 5-4-1 (of course he would) then based on last night I'd be confident of yet another 1-1 with you lot.
I wonder if this would be hitting the nerves as much as it is clearly is if we weren’t f***ing flying as a club right now?
It must be hell on earth for that lot :ROFLMAO:
I’m sure compulsory house purchases were affordable in somewhere like Anfield, but in south London (even the shit parts!) I’d imagine it’s a different story, especially when all you’re doing is demolishing them.
Also how much additional capacity to Palace realistically need?
Reported on bbc gossip today (who knows if true) that Palace ‘baulked’ at Swansea £3m comp ask for Cooper. £3m!!! Seriously. They’ll spend millions on players but not a fraction of that on arguably the most important part of the whole playing setup. Bizarre.
