Both of our clubs are lumped with “The Other 14”. Meaning on any given season, with some bad luck, injuries, key players or managers leaving, relegation is always a possibility.
Granted, it should be less likely now for both our clubs, but you never know. I said further upthread that I think...
Well. Maybe.
Perhaps you missed the weekly Potter in-out polls last season. Many here were angry and not happy with us being in and around the relegation zone and calling for GPs head as recently as December. I used to enjoy asking “where do you think a Brighton in the PL should be then?”...
Agree. No doubt Viera is a huge gamble, but if it were my club I’d sooner take a gamble than go for another dinosaur type again.
Though obviously I’d be delighted if the gamble doesn’t pay off and they’re 10 points adrift by Christmas…
Not really, just shows your ignorance of our squad depth. Ben White was our 3rd best CB last season. I know Arsenal fans don’t like to hear that but it’s true.
I don’t think Viera is a terrible appointment.
What would be terrible. Pardew. Hughes. Warnock.
Viera is a wildcard. Unquestionably a gamble. I guess if I was a Palace supporter I’d rather a gamble than one of the above.
Genuinely surprised, and not joking, that Palace haven’t appointed Big Sam yet.
He seemed to be popular there last time. And the brand of football is fairly aligned with Hodgson’s.
