    One of my favourite bulirds. I've only ever seen them in Portugal. I might venture over to Newhaven!

    I'm in Malaga at the moment and it's funny seeing a lot of tourists getting excited about the ring-necked parakeets flying about the parks. These are the same species that have taken over Greater London parks including Bishops Park next to Fulham. No-one raises an eyebrow in London about them...

    Large flock of black-backed gulls (unsure if Greater or Lesser) in Malaga Harbour & a Yellow-legged Gull - very similar to a Herring Gull

    I buy birdseed from the local pet shop and have discovered that goldfinches love sunflower hearts. It takes them a while to find the feeder, but once they do, they'll flock to it. I use the Birdnet app to identify birdsong

    A well camouflaged turnstone, I think. It was one of a pair, foraging on Hove beach (Medina Terrace area) on Christmas Eve.

    If you can stomach sometimes over the top Americans, the Dirty Bird podcast is usually worth a listen. Each episode lasts about an hour and they present all the info about one specific species. Not always yank birds either.
