    We played 4 - Silves, La Pinta, Gramacho and then Vila Sol yesterday as it’s on the way to the airport (we usually stay in Alvor). A few hills but not too dramatic really - just enough to have some lovely elevated tees.

    Spent ten minutes last week during a quiet fishing session watching a Barn Owl first catch something not more than 25 yards away, then get chased by a Kestrel for quite a while before ducking down between some vehicles until the Kestrel went away, then slowly emerging from the hiding place only...

    There are at least a couple of resident Kingfisher pairs on the stretch of river I fish regularly and another on one of the lakes locally..........not managed to get a pic yet as they flash by way too fast !
