Finally those 'word clouds' people like to kick off meetings with have come in useful. Picked a five letter word someone had posted and it gave me four greens, leaving me with a tap in for a two.

Failed today - four putted after having three of the five letters from the first two guesses and still failed to get the answer.

Same here although in my case I guessed it but then didn't think it was a word they would use (won't say why so as not to ruin it for others) so went with something else.

After a bad run of fives managed a two today.

I've had a couple of 2's and a few 3's. Generally these are because the first guess has given enough letters to help. Likewise I have had plenty of 5's and the odd 6 where my first guesses have not come up with anything. If you don't cheat then there is always going to be an element of...

Four today, happy with that as I had not a single yellow after two goes let alone a green.

After a 2 yesterday scraped in with a 6 today - this thing is so simple, so frustrating and so addictive. Damn you NSC for alerting me to this.

Two today but that was because I had three correct in my first guess. No real logic to the first guess either, just the last five letter word in whatever I had just read.

I deliberately hadn't opened this thread so avoided the 'spoilers'. Got it on my last go but only after giving up on real English and putting in something to put me out of my misery / frustration.

I have found sometimes that the first time I post, I get characters rather than coloured blocks but if I then edit the post and paste again, it seems to post okay.
