I think he’d convert a lot more chances than Welbz but obviously, his all round game is not nearly as good. Welbz looks very comfortable on the wing or in midfield when he drops deep and still has top level pace.

As he requested to go back to Germany for personal reasons, I’m not so sure he’d have been in the right headspace to perform if we’d chained him down in Lancing.

5 goals (one every 123 minutes) is pretty good for a debut EPL season. His finishing is class. The rest of his game……you have a point. But without good finishing, teams don’t score goals and get relegated.

And that game against Burnley where we had 29 shots….I’m sure he’d have buried a few chances if he’d been on the pitch.

Very different players. A fox in the box instinctive striker compared to a forward/winger who is very fast and very strong with a trick or two up his sleeve plus he is good in the air. We could have them both.

I think the figure for the optional purchase was described as in the ‘double figures’ of millions. So could be £10m but definitely not what a player getting his stats in the Bundesliga is worth.

I agree with this but Undav’s all round game was just not up to De Zerbi standards. He only got in the team off the back of his elite finishing. That said, I’d love him back in January as we are short. I’d prefer his current striker partner though. Apparently there is a buy clause. I’m sure...

I hope the optional to-buy fee is worth it. Surely £10m+. He seems better than Maupay and could easily get double figures in the Bunda.
