I think a lot of the assumptions about next season have been thrown in the air.
I personally don't see how Undav thrives in a RDZ team. But now, who knows?
There's a scenario I was musing about.
So there's a buy option of £10m or something, but Stuttgart apparently don't have it. Undav is worth more than that now. Is there an chance richer a club could lend Stuttgart the money for the buy option, then buy Deniz immediately after for, say £12m...
So we re-loan the player we currently own .... the German international .... in favour of a player who is nowhere near as good, can barely get past Lyndon Dykes to get in the Scotland team, who we would have to go and pay a significant transfer fee for?
Probably it's a bit lesser, but we're not talking about the Scottish Leagues here. If a player is scoring freely in the Bundesliga and they are on the fringes of the fast improving German national team, they are capable
I liked what I saw of him last season.
I just reckon that if a player who has played a fair bit for the first team get loaned out, it's because RDZ doesn't want him. My guess is that we will never see him in the stripes again, (same with Sarmiento and Alzate)
I'm much less sure. That's a sizeable fee and sizeable wages to cover for a Bundesliga team. Even more so if he makes the national squad for the euros.
I reckon a Bournemouth, Southampton, Fulham, Wolves type club will offer us more that Stuttgart will and would also match or improve Deniz...
Realistically Stuttgart is the shop window. They aren't paying £18m.
We're hoping to tease out a bid from probably a fellow PL team.
Appearances for Germany would do wonders for the fee
Re Ferguson. He's a very very young player trying to mix it with gnarled PL defenders. He'll peak in about 8 years. Maybe more. Don't worry if he has a few quiet games.
Re Undav. I liked him and thought he would come good in the PL. Though if I'm honest, I also thought that about Zeqiri...
One of those players looked good and scored goals in the PL and the Bundesliga
The other has looked good and scored goals in the Scottish PL
I know which one i'd be taking
Well. The incident early in the second half where the ball flew across the pen area with nobody chasing in, screamed, need a natural scorer on that. Similarly the number of times Mitoma beat his man only to have his cross cleared at the front post.
We've dropped a bollock letting the lad go...
Ahhh, not sure, Pedro has shelled some absolute sitters.
On the evidence we have so far, Undav is far better in front of goal.
Though i'm happy to concede that we've seen a fairly small sample size on both and at Joao Pedro's age, we can reasonably expect improvement
And that was before we signed Fati
But again, now Welbeck is out for a while, Ferguson probably isn't 100% fit and Joao Pedro has had a mixed start in front of goal, an option like Undav would certainly be getting some minutes. Still footballers come and go.
