Dont understand why not. Certainly if I had a winning bet would be happy to pay a % in tax. I would also add a tax on the stake.- amexer

I have never understood why the stake and winnings are both not taxable. Maybe someone can explain the reasons for this exemption.. It cant be to encourage gambling.- amexer
