We had a bad outbreak of that about 2 years back and started spraying it with this stuff. I spray it 3 times a year and so far it’s holding its own and only one small area about size of a saucer that now affected. The rest has a glorious fresh green growth all over.
Thats all well but have to...
thanks Jack.
problem i’ve got is that they are buried amongst a load of daffodil leaves, and that one pic is about as good as i can get. i’ll take another look in the morrow and see what i can snap
Does anyone have any idea what this is?
I’ve had the garden now 18 years and haven’t never planted this.
Last year noticed a 2 or 3 come up in a very over grown part of the back garden.
This year I’ve noticed about 5 or 6 coming yp
In front garden.
Not sure if to pull them up or leave them...
most hard landscape i’ve done myself but can’t take the credit for the brickwork edging, that’s well above my skill set.
No not an alternative, it’s box that i grew from cuttings 15 years ago.
I get huge pleasure out of making bits and bobs out of materials left lying around or sometimes...
the rock walls i built myself when we first moved in. ruddy heavy some of those. i didn’t have a clue what i was doing but as the say, you learn by doing.
the acer i bought out of Wilkos for 99p and was not much more than the size of a lolly stick
thanks, however after badly breaking my nose about 20 years ago I was left without a sense of smell. I always relied on Mrs to assist, however following her escapades with Covid she also has been left without a sense of smell or taste 😳😳
any idea what this is oh wise folk of NSC?
Other half reckons it could be a bay tree. But before deciding to use it’s leaves in cooking would like to make 100% certain.
Found this thing growing in my garden, don’t ever recall planting anything that looks like it. Any ideas what it actually is? I’m assuming some type of weed grown through from the hedge.
I must admit that I did wonder about making a substantial area of it with wildflowers, but I’m told that the soil needs to be impoverished. Id also not know when to sow it, what types I could get to grow on the clay soil and how long the flowering season is. I love the looks of the ones I see...
no wonder you’re pleased, it looks fantastic.
Id love to do more with mine but it’s big area, circa 100’ x 20’ but the cost of planting that would mean me giving up retirement and getting another job;)
