Their play off system may be a bit complicated but I quite like it. It's MILES fairer than our play offs.
Anyway I hope they win it this time. I look forward to seeing their new ground when it is eventually built, as they might become genuine rivals to Anderlecht off the pitch too.
They are considering the construction of a new 17,000 all seater which would be more befitting. It has all gone a bit quiet on that front though. i.e not much internet news on it since January.
Indeed there aren't.
I'd hazard a guess that all the while they are challenging for the league title and going deep into European competition, they're quite happy. But the minute that taking back our players starts to affect them detrimentally, that will probably change.
Those 25cl things in the Netherlands are ridiculous. The head is literally about one third of the glass, so you literally end up paying for about 2 largeish gulps!
On the one hand he has a point. On the other hand, Belgium domestic football has bigger problems than this which is why they're desperate to form a Benelux league, something the Dutch are in no hurry to form despite not being much bigger.
It's probably a fairer (or shall we say, less unfair) system than our own play-off system though. At least their championship play-off system gives the teams who scored more points an advantage before the play-offs start.
This would be an absolute must watch if the Belgians didn't have that crappy end of season play off system to decide the league champions.
I'll watch it anyway obviously.
