The first series was superb.
And yes, you do get single crew patrols.
The officer in Brighton who got a broken eye socket (as seen on Night Coopers) was responding to the fight as a single crew.
Which illustrates why it’s a stupid arrangement and should not be allowed to happen.
Virtually every actor who we know now was in it. I had my first ever uncredited stunt role on one of the episodes, was still training at the time so I was mainly stood around with a fire extinguisher.
True story. Jeebers! maybe 23 years ago? Dear oh dear!
Anyway we filmed in Ashdown...
The director of The Responder, Phillip Barantini has just directed Stephen Graham in Boiling Point which is rather good too. He’s also directed some ropey London Gangster pics with Craig Fairbrass. Done a fair bit of acting too. In late 90’s football drama Dream Team and Band of Brothers among...

Genuinely love that sort of thing.
Edit; I think I remember watching that actually. Maybe ten years back? Usually ended up with the posh kids loving the cheap holidays because it was pure fun and the poorer kids hating stuff like skiing in France or fine dining...
That’s on my list. That sort of stuff is a great escape on my days off. Don’t want anything too heavy when I’ve finished dealing with drug addicts and their abusive partners and pimps for a week of nights. Well, I am watching this but you know what I mean :lolol:

Funny the divided opinion. I think it’s cracking. What Line of Duty could have been with a bit more grit and less focus on endless plot twists.
It’s more of a character study than a whizz-banger. But that appeals to me.
Obviously there will be artistic license but written by Tony Schumacher, a former police officer so should have some grounding in reality.
Guardian gives it five stars.
“The Responder is as fast and riveting as a thriller and as harrowing as a documentary. It says profound things about the...
