Are any of the games repeated on UK TV channels during the day or a more reasonable time.

East coast games are sometimes played early so a reasonable time for us. Streams are very easy to find, there is a paid subscription service too and I think some games are on Amazon, maybe geo locked though.

Canucks @ Detroit on 1st Dec is being played 17:30 UK time.

Do you sit next to me in WSU..... My next door guy is an Edmonton fan and goes there maybe once a season!
No, not me! I live in Ottawa-Gatineau, a fan of Les Nordiques de Québec until they left for Denver, and a Senators supporter ever since. I fly the other way to attend Albion matches, lol

I saw last night that McDavid has returned for the Oilers.
Yup, and I could have gone to the game -- there were a few cheap tickets left --, but I was knackered and stayed in my hotel room to catch up on some other files. Listened to the game on the radio. McDavid was centering the 3rd line (!) and didn't do much. Vegas broke the 2-2 tie with a goal in the last minute of regulation. 🙄

St. Louis Blues forward Dylan Holloway was back at the team’s practice facility Wednesday and appeared to escape serious injury a day after being struck in the neck by a puck and leaving the ice on a stretcher against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

“I feel good today, feel way better,” Holloway said. “As soon as I got hit, I knew something was a little off, but then I saw we got a two on one, so I couldn’t pass up that opportunity. But as soon as I got to the bench, I was feeling a little woozy, and then I didn’t really remember much from there until I was on the stretcher close to the ambulance.”

Feel this is a bit contrived but we (Carolina Hurricanes season ticket holder) have interest in both teams with Slavin and Jarvis.

Kind of like England playing Ireland with the old pro defender in Dunk against the young upstart Ferguson. Although Jarvis is way more of a lovable maniac and Slavin a rolls Royce defender (a la Lawrenson)

Great quotes from the Great One though. true gentleman.

"When I was breaking Gordie Howe's record, he was there. And I said two years ago that if Alex gets close to my record, I'll be here. That's the National Hockey League, right? (Jean) Beliveau to Howe, (Bobby) Orr, (Mario) Lemieux, (Mark) Messier, you pass it down. If somebody breaks Alex's record, I hope Alex is there to shake his hand. But, right now, I hope Alex enjoys it and he deserves all the credit and accolades he's getting."

Gretzky broke Howe's record of 801 goals on March 23, 1994, when he scored his 802nd against the Vancouver Canucks.
He said he doesn't remember exactly what Howe said to him other than, "I'm proud of you."
He does, however, remember exactly what his father, Walter, told him that night.

"My dad told me that same night, ‘Be as proud of the guy that breaks your record,’" Gretzky said.

He did it in the same number of games too, incredible.

Also great that he didn't want an EN to break the record in previous game.

"I don't want an empty net," Ovechkin said.

Ovechkin tied Wayne Gretzky's record of 894 goals with two tallies in the Washington Capitals' 5-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night.

However, when the Blackhawks pulled goalie Spencer Knight late in the third period with the Capitals ahead 4-3, Ovechkin appeared to tell coach Spencer Carbery "no" and sat in the middle of the bench.

"He wants to break the record with a goaltender in the crease, which I appreciate," Carbery said. "He told me that on the bench, and I just wanted to confirm that he didn't want to go out. And it's hard for us as coaches because I just wanted to make sure in that moment: hat trick, at home. And he didn't want to go out and score on an empty net to break the record. We have six games left, and he wants to break the record and have that moment where he's shooting the puck past a goalie."

A happy Canuck this morning, that 3rd period was mad! The Canucks are the first team in NHL history to overcome a three-goal deficit in the final minute of regulation to win! And they're still in the hunt.

As the Albion are (kindly) helping Brentford to sort out their home form woes, I thought I’d focus my mind on the NHL Playoffs that begin tonight with the President’s Trophy winning Winnipeg Jets hosting St Louis in game 1 🇨🇦🏒

As a Jets fan, I’m hoping for a longer run in the playoffs this time around…(oooh, get in Welbs!!!) but we will see…they certainly have many of the required components for a strong run. 🤞

*I may have to add a further reply (to myself) if the Albion struggle in the second half!!
