I think I enjoyed the experience at HP a bit more, nice to have the warm up and cool down runs there and back. I guess also it's a bit of a change of scene for me, I rarely went to HP growing up, whereas been to PP many times over the years.
I didn't think it felt too congested at HP despite...
I’ve recently had to start going to Reading 3 times a week on GWR. The journey can be as quick as 25 minutes but costs £90 return, or £60 if I split and go on the very slightly slower train.
I’ve started buying weekly passes online and get loaded onto my smart card.
Annoyingly I cannot get the...
Finally did Brighton and Hove parkrun this morning. My parents live the other side of Preston Park so I’ve always gone there when I've been down except for one occasion last summer when I was in good form so wanted to try Hove Prom (on that occasion ended up 3s away from an all time parkrun PB)...
I found the Speed 2 to be a really versatile shoe, one which was a joy to run in whether it was an easy run or an all out effort. I'm a bit of a Nike fanboy and used to the extremely cushioned Vaporfly, Alphafly & Zoom Fly Flyknit. While the Speed wasn't that soft and unstable, it was on the...
Loved the Speed 2, but my pair were half a size too small. Saucony had a sale but I decided to get the Pro 2 rather than the right sized Speed 2 and I hated it, one of my worst decisions that one! Then got the Speed 3 and it was a completely different shoe, and not in a good way.
Saw this today on how to get Strava premium for about £20 rather than £55, by paying in Brazilian Real, if you can use a VPN.
Tried it myself and it worked adding a year on to my subscription which ends in March.
Slight amendment to the instructions, don't connect the VPN until you get to the...
Hills are generally recommended to make you a stronger runner, so try and take that as a positive. Strava and Garmin both give a Grade Adjusted Pace (GAP) which should reflect the pace as if you’d run on the flat, so check that out and compare to your old times and hopefully it’ll actually show...
Argos are doing £220 offer for the 8-in-1 Pizza oven, stand, cover and fuel. But not available for delivery and only have all the items available in a few branches. I'm going to be driving 30 miles on Friday...
Next time someone updates the table (@Curious Orange @knocky1 ) please can you add my new PB of 17:38 which I got at a race tonight (well last night now). I think that’s 78.07% (I’m 44)?
Did the Westbury 5k which is part of my local road league (but well over 45 mins away). A 3 lap course round...

Cross Country (XC) started for me yesterday with the first of 5 fixtures (generally 1st Sunday of the month) in the Oxfordshire League. I'm relatively rubbish at it compared to the road/track, but really enjoy it. Was first time this venue was used, and they had to re-arrange the car parking the...
Is that something you could automate? I'd be fine taking the Amazon URL, putting it into NSC and pressing a button to get the affiliated link immediatelly. But to have a manual process when you don't know how long it'd take for someone to respond, I'm not sure I'd be patient enough...
