Thanks for all the info. Reassuring.
But it is still galling to me that because I make things last (reduce / reuse / recycle - as we are meant to do), I end up suffering a bit. It all seems to be based around 'more more more' and 'newer newer newer' doesn't it.
I tried it and it was rejected. However, it was better to my mind than the one that other looked to have tried first before hitting on the right one!
For instance, I suspect this one is the one known to Americans......

I don't think it was in any way a red. But in no way was it 'accidental' either - Lamptey knew exactly what he was doing in blocking him off. If the guy hadn't ducked into him, it would have been an absolutely nothing incident.
And that really does exemplify the acoustics issue. I watched on a stream, and when the Chelsea fans started singing that, it was during a period when we had actually been making, and were making, quite a bit of noise. The 'football in a library' chant was only just audible amongst the rest...
? The penalty award and the disallowed goal were two completely separate incidents.
He disallowed the goal in 'real-time'. Nothing to do with VAR.
He gave the penalty and then overturned it after VAR intervention.
On an unrelated, but connected note - just had an update from Windows. 'Your computer is not able to upgrade to Windows 11, and support for Windows 10 will cease October 2025 - suggest you get a new computer'.
It's all a bit of a con isn't it.
I assume you were watching it on TV, same as me. They didn't have close-up footage, so you saw no more than me and the VAR folk. So - not sure how you can be quite so categoric that he would have been sent off.
Thing is - he only got caught in the face/head because he put his head/face...
About 1300 left in the 'Wordle Database' apparently.
And they can add more obscure ones if they start running out.
