I remember my lad playing a computer go kart game, when one of the italians got hit by lightening he was so fast he just won without even trying. That wouldn't be fair.

Nope, I took great joy in both decisions considering who they were against!
So why do players hold their hands behind their backs? It's to stop giving away penalties like that.
Palace mug scores at one end, disallowed, so goes up the other end and gives away a penalty. What's not to like?
