Yep. Total idiots causing absolute mayhem to peoples lives protesting in a country which contributes almost nothing to global problem. A colleague at work missed his flight to his family holiday because of this protest and had to fork out £3k for another flight. I dread to think the implications to anyone who was trying to get somewhere because of medical emergency.
Cut their goolies off. Even the three womens'.
Yes, sounds like they spent the trial being divs, which I imagine increased the sentences.

I have a certain degree of sympathy with their cause. I have none for their methodology pursuing it.
When it comes to judging the sentences ... I've seen far more lenient sentences handed out to people who've done (IMO) far worse crimes. So in that respect ... no, I disagree with the sentences. But only because some sentences for some other crimes are too lenient.

No I do not. Save jail time for those who are more of a danger to the public. Child sex offender living next to my parents got suspended sentences twice and only jailed (for a shorter time than this lot) after the 3rd offence in 10 years...

It was estimated that 51,000 drivers hours were lost whilst stuck in the traffic that they caused. That works out at around 5.5 years. So the sentence seems about right to me.
