Yes, I see this player as another option for attacking midfield in the same vein as KDH and Rutter. He’s not an out and out winger from the clips I’ve seen of him.
I also think that ideally we should be looking to get another year from Pascal and the deal for him would be that we let him go for nothing at the end of this season to get a nice big signing on fee for the 2025/26 season in Germany.
Gruda appears to have played at all youth to U21 levels for Germany and it won’t be long until he gets called up for a full cap. Ideal time to get him in.
A German speaking coach will certainly assist in him settling in. Can see this one being our record signing with Undav, Moder , Sima, and possibly WBG on the way out to balance the books.

I think every club just realises that spending weeks negotiating over a transfer move that might never happen is a waste of everyone’s time.
Imagine how many people have to work on negotiating a fee, working out add-ons, how much is paid up front etc etc, finally agreeing a fee and then the player turns around and says “nah, you’re alright”.
It’s better for both clubs to know where they stand with the player most of the time.
I think it's probably the intermediaries/agents agreeing hypothetical deals and then the clubs getting involved once details are in place. Perhaps that's how they avoid censure.

Worth remembering Gross joined us as a midfielder who preferred drifting out to the right. From what I've read and seen of this kid he isn't your typical, head down winger. Often at that age the key skill they lack is their decision making. Feels more like a Wirtz or Szoboszlai- a player who's passing and decision making are as effective as their ability running with the ball. Players who's progressive passing is equal to their progressive carrying. A player who looks absolutely suited to a Fab set up.

They exist, but most of the time, no one bothers. Last one I recall where a club made a complaint was Saints over Liverpool approaching Van Dyke. I think Saints accepted an apology from Liverpool in the end, because no one wants the rule enforced strictly, in that case saints felt Liverpool were being too aggressive about it.

It isn’t unusual for a club to give a player permission to talk to other clubs.
Brilliant plan and hopefully one that suits everyone.
Screw the £6m we might get this summer. Hürzeler is very clearly desperate for him. In fact, on the togetherBHA podcast, Uwe Hünemeier stated that Fabian had been in touch with Groß in the past to discuss RDZ tactics etc.
At 34, Groß could still have another 4 years top level football in him as his key attributes which are positioning, stamina, footballing brain and technique won’t be as affected by age as other common attributes such as pace.

I think that is a great comparison.
I think Trossard’s passing was always underestimated here but that’s what makes him so much more than a winger.
This potential signing demonstrates a very high quality and varied passing technique in his showreels. From delicate through balls in a central position to lobbed cross field balls or dangerous crosses, the player demonstrates a very high window of attainment. I’m wondering if he could be stronger on the ball than Trossard with the ability to hold the play up in the centre of the pitch more effectively?
I think Trossard was strong enough on the ball - what I feel let him down on occasion was overdoing things. He would beat his man or get in a good position and then try and do it again. I'm getting the sense Gruda is that little bit more direct when it comes to final decision making.

Has got a hell of a shot on him. That left footed rocket is almost up there with the AliMac ‘goal’ v Leicester.
