Interesting that Igor is frequently being linked with a move away. Wonder if we are encouraging it?

I would be surprised unless we have another left footed CB lined up. The only areas we look potentially s bit short are LCB and RB.

Having said that, if we have someone else coming in and we can make our money back on him I wouldn't be against this one.

Igor feels very much like an RDZ signing and not someone we rate !! So wouldn't be surprised if we are trying to get rid

Could be the 'experienced pro' we were expected to sign this summer, but what wages would he accept? And why does he seem to keep terminating his contracts by mutual consent?

Not sure he's what we need positionally either.
Zero chance. One of the biggest mercenaries in football.

He's had his moments but I remain to be convinced that he's top class. I'd say we're at least one top CH short currently. Dunk is in his thirties now so presumably there is some planning afoot around his long term replacement. If we got a decent price for Igor, I'd take it and move on without too much thought. I reckon the club would too.

I cannot think of a less Albion-like signing than this bloke. Has had literally one decent season in his entire career, in fact, not even that: he had one good World Cup with Colombia and has blagged his way to massive contracts ever since, mugging off clubs who look at his 2014 showreel and imagine that they, they alone are the ones who are going to be able to unlock his magic box of skills. No wonder he went to Everton: he's exactly the sort of crap attitude, big name they love, because it allows them to continue deluding themselves that they are still a big club that has some kind of relevance. Surprise surprise: when he went there, he dazzled for about four games, refused to do any defending, then got "injured" (yeah sure) and went AWOL on massive wages.

Skilful player: absolutely terrible attitude, and largely interested in money over everything else. If a club had a No Dickheads policy, he would fail on almost every level. He'd be a colossal waste of time and money. No chance we're taking him, even in the face of his agent touting him around mid level PL and Ligue 1 sides: not even if he was free and only wanted £10,000 per week.

So you are, what? On the fence with this one?

He is decent as a ball player knocking it around but sadly as a defender, he is very much found wanting... No pace, cant head a ball particularly well and cant tackle/defend. I think we got a bit of a dud here

I don't want a player called Hamas. Somewhat divisive!

Given how ludicrously well stocked we are in attacking positions I do find it a bit odd we seem light at centre half especially if we play three at the back.

JPVH - excellent young first choice.
Dunk - first choice but aging
Webster - questionable fitness and quality
Igor - I like but he’s not proven
Veltman - hasn’t played CB in years and is aging.

It doesn’t scream excellent planning and we seem well short here, say compared to attacking areas.

It appears that Wieffer and Baleba are being considered as defenders. Pervis as well may slot in as the LCB when fit
