I can feel it. So many reasons why:

You can’t lose 7-0 and not get a reaction. There will have been a lot of soul-searching done this week at Lancing.

FH will know that keeping us in the cup gives him job security- he will go for it with a strong team.

Chelsea need to make the Champions League this year, they won’t play their strongest squad.

The Amex is going to be rocking with a big away following and the hard-core home fans that actually want to be there and will support the Albion no matter what (even if it means getting home past 11pm on a Saturday night or having to queue for a train or even bump into some nasty and frightening away fans).

It would be so Brighton to win this one after last weekend.

We’ll be back to losing in the league the following Friday as Chelsea punish us for Saturday.

Into the 5th round we go, a favourable draw this time and once we cruise through that we’ll be one game from Wembley.

Very much looking forward to bouncing this thread on Sunday morning…

100% agree. Said exactly the same to my mate yesterday.
We will win the cup game (a belter that I am missing on holiday ;-( ... then lose the Chelsea league game...

But no idea about Soton/Bournemouth (my nephew is mascot for the Bournemuff game so I really hope it's not a toxic one).
Agree with @dwayne - not going to happen without the machine/powerhouse of Carlos in midfield though.

Can’t see it myself. It will be over as a contest before half-time, and not in a good way.

I see a 1-5, which will stoke people up even more.

The atmosphere is unlikely to help.

In fact I feel more confident we can produce the goods in the league a week later

If Baleba is fit we have a reasonable chance.

No Baleba , no party , we are getting pumped again in all likelihood.
Is he actually injured then has that been confirmed? Thought maybe him and Ayari were left out for disciplinary reasons?

I've been assuming he and Ayari will make "miracle recoveries". It'll be that or out for the season.

Saturday? Out on penalties, trains suspended, four mile walk back to town in the rain.

I’ve come around to being glad all the ‘I can’t go because of my own special reason how dare you question me’ brigade aren’t going now. It’s going to be like that Palace FA Cup game where there were only 14,000 in the ground. That one was a great atmosphere with proper fans and was easy to get away from afterwards due to the smaller crowd. And we won.

Same again on Saturday.
