I'm probably late to the party on this, but this will be a nightmare if they then do this for the proper World Cup, especially for England fans with England games normally under heavy demand. Probably means they'll be relative bargains for some of the other games though.

I'd rather know the price though of all games and commit to that as I'm sure most would.

Club World Cup

Considering how little enthusiasm there is for the competition, the word demand is doing a lot of work in this sentence: "Dynamic pricing — the practice of fluctuating ticket prices based on demand — has been applied to match tickets for next year’s men’s Club World Cup."

By the level of interest, things could be at 1980 Goldstone North stand prices

The Club World Cup is of no interest to me whatsoever, but the danger here is that they do something similar for the 2026 World Cup and beyond. As was said, this means that all England games would be at the top end of those prices.

It doesn’t yet say that’s what they’ll do but we all know that THIEFA are not the quiet and silent types when it comes to making money and extorting fans so we can expect this to be a trial run for something similar in 2026 😡.

Exactly my point. I think if it works (for them) in the Club World Cup, then it will definitely be used in the proper world cup sadly.

Do ticket prices ever reduce when they are priced dynamically?
In fairness for the Club World Cup the answer is yes. But that highlights what happens when theirs a huge lack of demand as there would be for this club world cup nonsense.

Chances of Trump sticking his nose in and causing mayhem especially for the World Cup seeing games will be held in Mexico and Canada too? High I’d say

Already the case for fans and even players and staff from the likes of Iran, which will likely be subject to a travel ban by the time of the tournament

The US should be stripped of the world cup.
It's grim isn't it? Not to derail the thread but the list of countries which could face travel restrictions is vast

Fully expect Trump to ban everyone, then award himself the trophy for being the most bestliest soccerball champion ever, everyone says so, the most intelligent people in the world - beautiful intelligent people - have come up to him and said no-one has ever goaled more wonderful soccer scores-in-one than Trump ever…

It might be a thing for the Club World Cup while they work out what people will actually pay by making subtle changes.

Slashing prices/having a firesale wouldn't look good for FIFA.

As a matter of fact, Ticketmaster have never used dynamic pricing for gig tickets - at least, not how the media reports it.

If artist/promoter agrees (in advance), they set aside 10-15% to sell at a premium price.

The quota and normal/premium prices are preset. There's no fluctuation. And nothing changes due to 'demand'.

I hate FIFA, Infantino, Trump and America generally at the moment with every bone in my body.

Hearing Trump call Infantino the ‘King of Football’ is probably the most revolting thing I’ve ever heard.

This World Cup is going to be a disgusting, commercial, capitalist wankfest horror show.
