Didn’t realise they’d done the Mitoma flag, but fairs. We can now add a moderately sized Mitoma flag which has to go in the bin the second he leaves too.

I take it all back, a tremendous effort.
Depends on what they're trying to do, no?

If its an attempt to do some "European" tifo culture... most of the stuff isn't made to be used more than once.

Take this Bosse Larsson stuff... made to be used once and never be seen again.

Surely if the 23rd best league in Europe can cover a stand with a celebration of a 1970s player, then a Premier League club could have middle sized flag to praise someone like Mitoma, if only for a few months?

Might agree with you if the intention is to make a flag every third season or something but I get the impression that the lot doing this iniative are a bit more ambitious than that.

...and I believe the name comes from the Amex entrance they go in to get to their seats. They all seem to have been numbered recently-ish, and theirs is North 9.
Do you know what blocks entrance 9 covers as me and THPP maybe in their gang. That would be a nice surprise for them

If I recall correctly, the flags were the clubs idea and delegated to the FAB to arrange, the ultimate box tick

Fine. Entirely fair to criticise the club if you think they've not allowed the FAB to succeed . But the volunteers who have done some good work there, behind the scenes really don't deserve it and also its unfair - they went out of their to crowdfund and get various TIFOs and flags made for the North Stand (the Di Zerbi and Mitoma flags)
I don’t doubt the passion of the FAB. When the CEO states at the first meeting that he does not see the need for the FAB then you kind of realise that it appears to be lip service. The remit of the FAB is determined by the club, the BHAFC staff involved are clearly on a party line and when FAB has tried to broaden their scope (in line with the terms of reference) the club have slammed the door.

It’s not the FAB’s fault.

Well you are a ray of sunshine today. Is it that you volunteered for the FAB but were rejected, or simply that all the ideas you suggested were ignored? Out of interest what were your ideas?

I don’t have anything against the people on the FAB as a rule. My disdain is more for how pointless the whole thing is. Even if I was the type of person who’d be interested in that kind of position I wouldn’t have applied because it was quite obvious that it was a box ticking exercise from the club. I do however think their effort to improve the atmosphere/experience; one of the few areas they could have the most impact in, has been substandard.

As for my idea(s), as the original post of mine quoted above I suggested that there should be a Patreon which could be a consistent source of income to first provide some large permanent flags and to then fund TIFOs/displays. A Patreon would also allow subscribes to discuss/vote on any polls going forward.

I believe there was a vote for the original flag but all of them were De Zerbi themed. I wasn’t the only one on here/Twitter that thought it was a stupid idea to instantly put an unknown timer on the flag. The Mitoma one is the exact same thing. We’ve got the best chairman in the county, there’s sayings like Won’t Be Druv, GOSBTS etc that are unique to us in the football league. The FAB decided that the only option worth considering was a manager who had never been anywhere for more than two years.

Now we have a bunch of kids doing the obvious steps which people connected to the club didn’t manage in years.

Completely off topic but I would HATE the Albion to run out to a song as shit and dirgy as Mull Of Kintyre. It would irritate me every time we played at home.

We should start with a 1-0 lead due to having a better song.

NSK are still around but think adulthood, work, kids, marriage (delete as applicable) caught up with them. North Nine are generally young lads trying to do something positive as I understand it.
Are the NSK one and the same as the “police box crew” or are they separate entities?

Hard to keep up

I'm really not an expert but know most of NSK are based under/near the police box so they could be one and the same.
