Yeah but 3.8 refers to 18........they can't logically confirm numbers for anyone until all games have been completed

3.8. Pursuant to Clause 18, the Club reserves the right to refuse a Season Ticket renewal (or to cancel an auto-renewal), if the Season Ticket is not Utilised for the required number of Matches at the point of renewal by the Season Ticket Holder and/ or User as specified within these Terms and Conditions.

Will they be dinging people who think they have already renewed ? I have no idea. Can they ? Absolutely.
The T&Cs and timings of events do seem complex because the renewal for the following season takes place so early. Much earlier than I’ve seen for other clubs. Whilst I agree with the general position of the club on this, I think they could make the terms more clear. Perhaps with some working examples.

The above clauses say at the commencement of the renewal period so they should take the figures from the number of games played at that point of the season. They can refuse a renewal at that point, but not once the ticket has been renewed or the season has ended. They could try to cancel them, but their own clauses should mean it isn't possible.
Suspect we haven't heard the last of trying to interpret the T&Cs :censored:

And…..
Last year they said I wasn’t entitled to one, though I’d been to more games than this year.
It won’t be manually looked at. They’ll have a very simple system which tallies your points accrued, and if you have enough points you’re offered one because you’re signed up. It won’t differentiate where or how the points were accrued. Maybe you *would* go to every home game if you had a guaranteed season ticket, they don’t have any clue who you are what or your motivations are, other than you earned enough points to be eligible.

What do you mean, they said you weren't entitled to one last year?

I've been a MyAlbion + member for years, and I received an e-mail inviting me to buy a season ticket both last year and this year (and I'm sure I've had the same invite for each of the last few seasons). For obvious reasons, I attend hardly any games.

I'm struggling to believe the club has turned someone down saying they weren't "entitled" to a season ticket.

If they can't attend the quota then perhaps they shouldn't have a season ticket!!!
So, if someone’s had a season ticket since they were a kid and, for one season, they are out of the country all year….they should give it up.

Great. There’s loyalty.

Yes, if you can't go to games then don't have a season ticket. What if the club have 5000 people who've had a ST since being a kid but they are now in the 70s or 80s and not so mobile and only get to one or two games a year. Do you think the club should put up with 5000 empty seats most games.

Nobodies saying you can't go to games, just that you need to pick and chose and if you can't commit to the minimum the club state then don't have a season ticket. People's circumstances change!!

WTF has shame got to do with it?
Some people definitely attach pride to season ticket owning, you only need to listen to fan’s introductions at the Fans Forum.

If fans want more flexibility there is always the 1901 Club option. This would get round your friend’s absent year.

You mean you were on an automated mailing list.
No. I'm sure it was a personal hand-written letter, fountain pen and good quality Basildon Bond paper, ending with best wishes to the wife and kids..

Yes, but what about people who had a season ticket at one time, is not a MyAlbion+ member, doesn't have a smart phone, and doesn't plan to go to all the games next season. How can they get a season ticket?

There doesn't seem to be any information available anywhere about this. I have looked everywhere.
Nothing has arrived in the post.
