If yes, under what circumstances?

If no, why not?

I've fallen asleep reading this thread.

What was this about a job? [yawn]

The NHS has a unit for sleep study for those with sleep apnoea. The patient is wired up and stays overnight whilst their sleep patterns are monitored.

Actually a majority of the sleep studies are being done in the patient's home with a monitoring device attached to the patient.

Not in the case of my other half. He had to go to Conquest hospital near Hastings. The monitor showed he stopped breathing five or six times in one night.

Now he has a machine, the memory card does monitor it at home. The machine keeps him breathing normally.

I wish I could get more sleep. I fear I’m building up massive health issues.

I get 3 or 4 hours of broken sleep, in the daytime, 5 days a week.

I have recently really started to feel it and am going to cut back at work.

I only sleep for two hours a go at night. So wake up four or five times. I don't know what causes it. But am going to mention it to the doctor. I haven't slept through a night since I can remember. I don't know what that feels like.

I don’t think that people who sleep well fully understand what it’s like to be sleep deprived. I’m on a bad run again - with last night being particularly bad. My head feels shocking. Difficult to focus and hold a proper conversation.

And can certainly be a negative impact on general health.

You should even if it is just for peace of mind. If you have sleep apnoea, DVLA have to be informed.
