Why did VAR only show the one image that maybe looked a little like a pen but not the one from behind the goal that didn't? What is wrong with these people?
Would you say the same if it was given against the Albion ?Must be watching a different game as I thought it a stonewall penalty.
If the ref had given it on the field then no real problem but VAR have no business getting involved with a subjective decision like that. The same ref was persuaded by VAR to give a pen against us at Villa Park when his body language clearly gave away that he didn't agree. Why don't they stand up for themselves?Must be watching a different game as I thought it a stonewall penalty.

Yep, me too. Plenty of contact.Must be watching a different game as I thought it a stonewall penalty.
NeverBy today's standards (which I hate), that was a pen. We've seen many softer given this season. Neville talking nonsense.
Exactly. And yet Hinshelwood's very clear foul v Villa a couple of weeks ago wasn't deemed a clear error. Lunatics.Hasn't the principle of VAR been ignored again? Ref doesn't give it on the field so VAR should only get involved if it's a clear and obvious error.
From one angle it might look like defender deliberately gives subtle nudge with leg to put attacker off balance. Alternative opinion with other angles it looks like Villa player is simply slowing down waiting for the contact and then takes a tumble.
On that basis way too subjective to declare that ref's original decision is a clear and obvious error. Ergo it should not have been a penalty
More than enough contact for me to knock the Villa player off balance - effectively taking him out. Something the ref missed and so VAR right to intervene - in my opinion.Hasn't the principle of VAR been ignored again? Looks half Emptihad to meThe ground is only half full
Lots of empty seats. Why can’t fans just transfer their seat to Tom Dick or Harry for free if they don’t fancy it as there’s nothing to play for![]()
