What’s unusual is that neither potter or Bruno have moved to be geographically closer to West Ham’s training ground. They both still live in Hove.

That’s probably a first for a returning PL manager & assistant coach.
Commutability main reason Potter took the WHam job, a factor wrt Chelsea, and why he dithered a bit over joining us.
Not keen on moving family, kids schools and that.

“Graham Potter, you know you’re a ****”

Aside from singing that, I’m going to boo so much it’ll be on the shortlist for the Oxford dictionary “word of the year”
Almost guarantees WHam will get a point.
We generally f*** up at the hate-fests. Always have.
Glad I'm not going.

Hope there's an Opportunity Knocks style Boo-ometer on the big screens.

His leaving did us a favour as I don’t think we would have had the success and entertainment we have had since he went. Hindsight is a wonderful thing because I was livid at the time.
It’s now water under the bridge and I think he has learned from his experience of becoming extremely wealthy all based on what he did in the last 9 months of his time with us. The offer he had was a no brainer and his only regret will now be that he believed his own publicity and thought he could go to a dung heap like Chelsea and make a success out of dealing with complete morons who hadn’t a clue about the business of football, unlike TB.
He is now financially set for life and coaching will more or less be a hobby that he would like to be successful at - his only motivation will be success. I think he’s an ok bloke and hope he achieves his personal goals. It could have been with us - who knows, it still might be with us.

Unfortunately, I think it's a little bit inevitable that Potter will return to the Albion at some point. I won't be going to the game on Saturday, so I won't get the chance to boo but I'm not sure I would even if I was there. As others have said, the time to boo him was when he came back with Chelsea. I enjoyed that afternoon just about as much as any others in the Amex era but him at West Ham is barely even a blip on the radar. I did enjoy seeing them only draw with Southampton though.

As others have said we need something to lend a bit of atmosphere at the moment because the performances on the pitch aren't doing it, and most people enjoy the pantomime of it all. So I'll be joining on on any booing, until I cant be bothered to.

It's not the fact that Potter left, it's the manner in which it happened. It felt like we were on the cusp of something special and he abandoned it all for a payday (little did we know something special was going to happen that season anyway).
Same for Bruno, but I think as a fanbase we have a closer bond to him so probably forgive and forget on that one.

Im not sure on the logistics of booing non-playing staff. With Cucu it is easy: boo when they have the ball. How does that translate to someone stood on the sidelines?

I also don't have any animosity to Potter or Bruno so this is more of an academic question for me.

Managers move on, that's just the way it is.
He probably earned 10 times he would have if he'd stayed with us. While he was with us we changed from a probable yo-yo team to a team that looked like a full time premiership outfit, and for that I as a fan will always be grateful.
Bruno was one of my favourite ever Albion players, but if the rumours are true that he wasn't guaranteed a job within the new regime, who can blame him for leaving with a boss that he knew well. Sad that he left, but he did what was best for him, his family and his career. Who wouldn't do the same ?
So don't boo them. Boo Chelsea when we play them but mainly sing your hearts out for The Albion. Stay classy .:bloom:
