An Albion fan with family history in the club funded us though…or are you suggesting the two Yanks are long term Wrexham fans rather than hipsters jumping on the British football bandwagon?

I have no problem with anyone joining in the Love In, just count me out
They're not long term fans, but it was an interesting investment given that the club was languishing in the fifth level. Lots of hate, as I'd bewildering expect, but the fans of many other clubs would have loved it to have been them. It's hardly the Saudi thing.

They were stitched up for years by poor owners, to the point where there was an understandable love in with them and they spent 15 years in non league. Does it really matter if your owner is a media funded American or a gambling funded Brightonian?

Congratulations to them. We’ll see their real level next season I suspect.

True, I’ll f*** of now and close the door behind me. Carry on with the Love In
It's hardly a love in, more a not hating thing. I'd like to see Stockport County come up with them because they've had it harder.

Wrexham haven't been in Div 2 since I was at school. So it's nice to see a new name.

Yes. Just have to look at Salford to back that up. Only slightly easier at Wrexham as they actually have a fan base.

In other league 1 news, Crawley win today to
Leap frog Calderon’s Bristol rovers, who are now in the bottom 3 on goal difference. Only 2 goals between them aswell.

Crawley home to bottom place Shrewsbury (who did win impressively at Barnsley today) and Calderon goes away to 9th place Blackpool. Really hope Calde does it.
Not a chance, sorry. Three points from safety (aka Burton Albion, who have a game in hand - and with a 14 goal goal difference to make up in one game. It ain't gonna happen. :(

I know I realised now, after someone else already pointed out that my post made me look like a tit😂

Hope he keeps his job.

I like them.

No rules broken, we’ve been transformed by £395m from TB.

I suspect the Championship will be their ceiling, unless bigger investors take a punt and the area has a small demographic.
They had a fairly big following before the takeover. They now sell out every home game (about 13k) and are building a new stand behind the goal. Sold out the away end at Bolton recently for example (3,800).

I loved all that in the Amazon prog. Fantastic fanbase.

And very much like us, a land thief tried to steal their sacred stadium.

Meh. I get the media circus part, but Rob and Ryan come across as people who have genuinely fell in love with the club and the city.

So in a world of so many awful owners and investors, getting in just for what they can get out, good on them. But if they eventually get bored with it, they'll leave the club in a much better state than they found it in.

I've enjoyed Welcome to Wrexham and it's honest look at the club, the players, the fans and the city. Looking forward to the next season of the show. So no spoilers please...
