My better half got bullied mercilessly at school by a kid who went on to become an England rugby international.
We now live a couple of doors along from his brother and family.
We get on fine with all the family but the rugby player never gets mentioned by them or us.
I’m guessing Warne and Maguire.
Kafrlnikov won as many grand slam tennis events as Andy Murray iirc. He was pretty bloody famous back in pre Federer tennis days.
Norm was a staple on SNL for ages until he offended the President of the tv network he worked for. A very funny bloke.
I’ve played poker against some very famous people
In no particular order:
Jack Black
Tobey Maguire
Vicky Coren
Norm McDonald
Yvgeney Kafelnikov
NBA player David Lee
Quite a few footballers and darts players
And Shane Warne
If RDZ leaves in the summer I'd steer well clear of Potter as a replacement.
Russell Martin (I just read on wiki he's from Brighton) or Kieran McKenna would be my picks.
I like Graham Potter very much, I am as sure as I can be he's a good bloke
I feel genuinely sorry for him and hope his next appointment is very successful.
He's absolutely outstanding at his job.
But I always think people who give up their time and money to help others are the ones who society should recognise (food bank volunteers and charity organisers) , not people who are good at a job they are highly paid to do.
TB has a new horse
Ile Atlantique runs in the last race (a bumper) at Leopardstown on Wednesday. Opened at 9/4 with some bookies, it has been backed into 5/4.
And this is how I find out Colin McRae died in 2007 Googled him after reading your post to see what he's up to now. A true great in his chosen sport and acompletely fearless driver. RIP.

When you look at this list of very rich and powerful peopl who have suffered unexplained deaths in the last few months, it's astounding someone with a connection to one of them hasn't sought revenge by bumping off Putin.
I'm not a cricket fan (to say the least!), but when you compare his test average with every top player before and since, it's impossible to argue he wasn't the best ever.
A test average of 50 implies you are absolutely world class, one of the best of your genereration.
Bradman had a test...
