Can someone tell me how they're doing so far? Sorry to ask a stupid question but i'm attempting to follow their progress from Canada, and there's only so much I can tell from highlights...
The problem i'm having with this is that I rate AEA very highly, and love his style. But with different refs and players it could end up giving away penalties. Very risky in my opinion.
Or, you could defend, i.e. Greer. I love El-Abd, and thought he had a good game, but his defending at corners was risky at best, and as I say, with the wrong striker/ref he could have given away countless penalties.
A good friend of mine is an Aberdeen fan, and he said he never really felt comfortable with Gonzalez in goal, and he wouldn't fancy him at Championship level. Just his opinion but that's about all I know about him so far. Couldn't do much worse though!
I think he did play well in general (better than Dunk) but his defending of set-pieces was very worrying. And Carroll could have easily dropped a couple of times and got a penalty from a different ref. Fair or not, he needs to be careful.
I knew we were going to get biased coverage today when I saw John Barnes and Keegan were pundits. If United were playing Liverpool, do you think they'd only get ex-United players as pundits.
Though I did enjoy hearing the bitterness in Twaddle's voice over us beeting the Geordies .
