Just got back from the game, absolutely brilliant. I may have a low bar because I remember the Gillingham years but I loved watching that team out there today, UP THE ALBION!!!
me and my son recreate the north stand experience by standing up all match at opposite ends of the sofa and singing 2 different songs at the same time as fast as we can, whilst the cat sits in the middle trying to join in. It will do until we can actually go again.
To add my two pence worth, I think var and not being able to celebrate a goal and go delirious hugging all around you has ruined it. I've been attending games with my son from withdean times and we have had many joyous moments (and comically terrible games too!), but now it's wait...is it a...
It should stay there. I thoroughly enjoy reading interesting opinion, debate, and albion information on nsc but the covid thread just desended into a vitriolic mess of repetitive argument and name calling. That's not a discussion!
I miss going with my son, having a beer and a laugh. Don't miss the actual football, we were becoming less enthusiastic with the premier league anyway. Never thought I'd say that having dragged my son to Withdean in the rain for years!
Haydon Roberts was in the same school year as my son, we went yesterday hoping he would play. To see him have such a great game, score a goal in front of the North stand , and get man of the match was excellent. First thing my son said this morning was that he was glad Roberts played well. Great...
Richards and Alzate. Connolly if he doesn't go on loan. Richards especially. If Potter gives them game time it could end up a fantastic season as they play without fear. Part of me thinks it could be a Hypia style car crash but if it isn't then just imagine!!
I also love vinyl! I would recommend checking out Low's new album "Double Negative" the deliberate distortion in the build up of each track is just amazing on vinyl, it sounds so much richer than when I play it on spotify or any digital format.
I was with my teenage son in the north stand last night and he absolutely loved the jump around if you hate Palace, the atmosphere was amazing. Was a brilliant night!!
One time me and my 15 year old son sat in the west stand and the guy in front said our singing was too loud and his little daughter didn't like it so we had to swap seats so we weren't bellowing in her ear. Thank god for the north stand, where you can sing and stand!
