I remember delivering Brighton rock to the “Farmers” shop on the corner in the early 70s. It had a trap door behind the counter and the cellar was full to the brim with manky old sweets. shame we lost the nice old buildings in the early 60s when Kingswest was built.

Yeah, I thought it looked like PCIS (my kids went there circa 85 to 90) but I didn’t realise it was that old (aerial pic was circa 1940).

Not sure which school building is which but this is view of the Locks Hill and Old Shoreham road junction from above at about the time of the photo.

Plus advert for Bukta which was of that era.

Film advertised is 1958. I don’t remember the building but I was quite young then!

Brighton Boys Club building has changed a bit!

Loved those old Sainsbury’s shops with marble counters and wooden fittings. Takes me back to when I used to get sent round to buy eggs individually for 1 1/4d (a penny farthing) each.
