[Football] Should the 3pm Saturday blackout of televised football stay in place?

I must admit the question and my answer are from the perspective of a person (me) who believes that football is best watched live at a ground, ideally with some friends and family that you've also socialised with before or after or both. Having Man U v Arsenal (for example) on the telly at the...

So does 6.30 Sunday - so far better 3pm Saturday IMO.

The second paragraph contradicts the first IMO. You say "as much as I'd love to be able..." and then point out that anyone with a firestick is, in fact, able. I actually voted to remove it BECAUSE of the risk of 6.30 Sunday games if we don't. This slot is only being added to accomodate the...

Exactly. Sell outs for most away days at the weekend in the top flight when there are a lot of other games. Where some clubs struggle is the 8pm Monday game, with no competition, because you've no chance of getting home without a club coach from most of them. A 6.30 Sunday would be even sillier.

See, that's exactly what they WON'T do. If there were no foreign TV rights the internet becomes a moot point because then all you have to do is stop people tapping into the streams recording for Sky highlights and MotD. But foreign rights are a huge cash cow. Enormous. And only going to grow...

That was my point, Pretty much anyone can. You don't even need a firestick, just a vpn and a reddit account.

[Football] Should the 3pm Saturday blackout of televised football stay in place?

I've just raised this on another thread but it would be good to see if my views are out of touch. Should the 3pm Saturday blackout of televising football stay in place? Pros - arguably gets people to non league, EFL and stops 'pay per view'. Cons - out of date. Anyone with access to the...
