The Striped Assassin has made light work of this competition thus far. He blitzed group A with 51 votes, and treated the second round with utter contempt as he deafeted the hapless Taipan Inland Snake 60-21.

Like it's opponent, made the first round look like a walk in the park, destroying the competition with a mammoth 64 votes. Then came out of a tough game against the heavily fancied Colossal Squid and put in a very impressive performance, winning 56-40

The Hippo is all brut force and if these two were pinned in a cage i would have to go for the Hippo, although in the great outdoors as much as i respect bruit force the tigers intelligence speed and agility would all come into play leaving it the winner, but only just.

you see dead hippos all the time lying upside down in water beds - when was the last time you saw a tiger looking like a large inflatable with its legs in the air being pecked at by birds

Hippopotamuses are ill-tempered animals. Adult hippos are hostile toward crocodiles, which often live in the same pools and rivers as hippos. Hippos are very aggressive towards humans and are often considered one of the most dangerous large animals in Africa. In fact, hippos are known to attack humans and boats.
Hippo is the worthy winner here

Hippoes are one of the most feared creatures of Africa. They slay more people annually than crocodiles. They might look large and clumsy, but they are capable of reaching speeds of up to 15-20 mph.

I was on a river safari and the guide was quite relaxed about 'The President' crocodile swimming beneath us. The President was 23 feet long and had killed at least 14 people in the previous 18 months. However, we didn't even dare approach the hippo enclave and left them to their own devices.

They are monsters.
