Beckenham is very much clown territory. Some nice bits, too 'new money' to be posh, though. Beckenham v Hove? Footballers Wives v the Women's Institute.

You should see some of the places - classy stuff indeed. A lot of the Palace staff live there except for Ian Dowie as his face didn't fit!!

Mixing class with Class then. Beckenham is the posh part of Crystal Palace.

I was born in one of the less salubrious areas of Beckenham but the area around Beckenham Junction Station is pretty up market. Go into neighbouring Bromley and the same applies. My cousin lives in a rather large house in Keston which considering it's proximity to London is really rural, narrow one car lanes only and very big houses and all.

True.

The triangle is nice. My missus wanted to move there but I could never have it as an address. But the football club isnt really in Crystal Palace and is actually situated in a toilet of an area.

Oh I know full well where Selhurst Park is situated. My mate lived in Selhurst on an estate and it was a shithole.

Well I used to live up the road in Gipsy Hill, it's neither good or bad just another suburb.

For those who don't know the area 'Crystal Palace' is a fair way away from Slelhurst Park. It's on a different rail line for a start.

For a few months I lived in South Norwood and although there's not a lot there it never struck me as being a dangerous place to live. (I was five minutes walk from Norwood Junction).

You know it.

Mind you every Friday we were invaded by the Thornton Heath Pikeys. All tattoos and BO.

Walking up Thornton Heath high street( I think) was a depressing experience.

What I find interesting about places like Thornton Heath and Selhurst is that the houses arent always that bad, say compared to places like Bow where there are a lot of tower blocks, but it hasnt stopped the pikeys moving in.
