Hiya,

Im trying to set up a clock-in clock out time sheets that calculates my office hours and makes it easy to see overtime worked 9I've moved to flexitime and can claim it back easily.

However setting this up on Excel is harder than i imagined - anybody got a link to one that i can download and is easy to use? Most web ones that i have found are either over complicated or cost a few quid.

thanks,

Rob.

Enter a date and time in one cell and do the same in one adjacent one.

In Cell A1: 01 Jan 2008 09:00
In Cell B1: 01 Jan 2008 17:30

You will need to custom format the cells with "dd MMM yyyy hh:mm" to ensure that the hours display.

Enter a formula in the next column (C1) which subtracts one from the other. eg. =B1-A1

This will give you a fraction of a day, so if you want it expressed in hours make the formula =(B1-A1)*24

You can easily sum these up, remembering that 10.5 hours isn't 10 hours 50 minutes, but ten hours 30 minutes.
