I love the funky studio version too, but like the faster, heavier live renditions in equal measure … the studio version is there if we want to enjoy the Gruber/Driscoll axis…Have to admit I don't like this speeded up version. Ronnie's vocals on this Munich gig are outstanding particularly on Catch The Rainbow
The sad thing about Ritchie is all the wasted years with the medieval minstrel nonsense with his wife. There was a lot of rock left in this genius.
Yeah, i’m a wee bit worried about his health… he’s done well to get this far I guess… but (yeah) it’ll be a dark day at Kosh towers when Ritchie departs… yes, he was difficult to work with, demanding… contrite… but once you’re under his spell, well… it’s difficult to cure.It's sad to see that following his heart attack, he's still plagued by ill-health. Probably my all-time fave guitarist, overall, but such a shame he's a cantankerous old git...always has been.
