Was watching Phil Tufnell on GMTV this morning promoting a competition to win a holiday in some god awful place and i was struck by what a one trick pony he really is.

Is anybody else finding his chirpy cheeky geezer act really grating or is it just me?

Where's the option that says Talented spinner, which is, after all, his main claim to fame?

Had more bowling talent in his left toenail than the King of Spain has in his whole body.

Harsh on Gilo.

But Tuffers does get bigged up by presenters who seem him to be a lot funnier than he is. If he wasn't a public school mockney with a cheeky glint in his eye, he'd be about as media friendly as Bob Willis.

Simster, I remember watching Tuffers at the Oval run through the Aussies; he was utterly unplayable.

Giles couldn't have bowled like that in a million years.

I find Tuffers rather annoying. He finds himself so funny that he laughs like a simpleton at the end of every sentence. Yeah, it's a result of years of being laughed at, but, on occasion, the fool disappears and he starts making a bit of sense, becomes interesting.
I can't watch him for the most part.
