I know I’ll almost certainly change my mind by 3pm Saturday but I currently have no wish to watch our game this weekend

It’s going to be either the perfect fixture or the worst one possible one after Wednesday’s disappointment

I do hate playing Palace these days, used to be the most anticipated fixture for me

Well, it seems Tottenham Hotspur have a guaranteed 3 points from playing themselves, and a possible 6 points if they also beat Southampton!
😉

And hopefully Palace will be worn out by playing three times!

Sussex but not by the sea
If Soton get anything at WHL I can see Mate being gone by Monday lunchtime. I want him to see the season out because I think we can win there under their current set up. I don't want a new manager bounce. Spurs are like the reverse of Forest, some very good players but a bang average team.

I wonder if they’ll even bother with a sacking this late on now. Spurs aren’t being relegated, Ange thinks what he’s doing is going to provide some European silverware - there’s nothing else to play for, so what would be the point?

Does anyone look at this weekends fixture list and think it looks proper dull all over.

Well...
Ipswich v Wolves is absolutely pivotal. Has to be a home win to prove everybody wrong about relegation already being decided.
Villa v Forest - nobody here wants reminding of these two recent sources of pain but the game is of obvious interest - especially if we can beat the Nigels.

On Sunday the Manchester derby is pretty meaningless I guess, but there is a morbid fascination for Spurs v Stains. It would be hilarious if Southampton got something, just to see Lou Carpenter's post match interview.

To watch, I mean….
Villa vs Forest sounds tedious.
Ipswich vs Wolves couldn’t be quite lively, especially if Ipswich decide to score a couple of early goals.
The Manchester Derby will be an absolute borefest.
Spurs and Saints - only interest is in the score, the quality of football will be awful.

I'm going to a party tomorrow at 1pm (BST) at friend's place who lives 2 minutes away.

Should I:

a) Nip back home at 3pm to watch the match then return
b) Watch on my phone at the party, hopefully tempting another football fan to join me in my rudeness
c) Enjoy the party and glance at my phone every 5 or 10 minutes

It’s marathon weekend. I don’t remember us winning in recent years on this weekend. I do remember us losing to Palace on marathon weekend in 2018. Put me in a right filthy mood.

Not optimistic. I’d take the draw right now just to deny the buggers the pleasure of the double and to ensure I can get on with enjoying my painful party weekend in town.

Everton v Arsenal (12:30) - What an interesting game. Hard to call
Crystal Palace v Brighton & Hove Albion - Away
Ipswich Town v Wolverhampton Wanderers - Wolves could end any hopes of staying up for all three teams.
West Ham United v AFC Bournemouth - Come on you 'ammers.
Aston Villa v Nottingham Forest (17:30) - Sky Sports - You took 120 mins & pens? We done it in 90 mins by 3.
Brentford v Chelsea (14:00) - Sky Sports Mmmm, away just to keep a gap below us.
Fulham v Liverpool (14:00) - Hope they win the title before visiting us.
Tottenham Hotspur v Southampton (14:00) Away win but he'll still have a job on Monday
Manchester United v Manchester City (16:30) - Sky Sports - Not such a big game any more
Leicester City v Newcastle United (20:00) = Sky Sports - Come on you Foxes, one last hurrah.

That is an incredibly soft penalty for Everton IMHO
