“That’s not good enough”
“We’ve had this before”
“Wieffer come on and caused ownproblems”
“Very few come away with any credit”
“Yes maybe jaded, yes 3 games in a week but…”
“Some harsh words need to be said in that dressing room”

All comments above made at FT by Warren and Johnny about our performance.

And well said IMO. We were dog shit. Again. Against them.

Thoughts?

We weren't dog shit.

It wasn't a terrible performance.

But we lost.

The players worked hard, but we're missing key players and it was a difficult fixture.

Typical moronic biased OTT comments made by the commentary on all of these tinpot local radio stations.

“It was a difficult fixture” lol

I thought we played better today than in the previous two, their keeper kept them in it at times. Definitely need a win against Leicester though to lift things.
It was a damned low bar to begin with mind, but we predictably limboed under it as was ever thus.

I like Johnny and Warren but I think we need to stay calm after that. Palace were full strength and on a good run whereas we had 8 players out injured. We made the slightly better chances, dominated the ball and conceded a screamer and a deflected goal. Tight games like that sometimes go the wrong way and that’s what happened today.

I do agree Wieffer isn’t up to it though!

Sorry, do you mean this game or the last 10 or more at Selhurst? Cos I hear those comments every season. Also, we’ve a manager that’s now set two records in his first season and neither of them are wanted.

Symbolised by the farcical passage of play that led to Van Hecke being sent off. Difference today was Palace being two seconds quicker to everything than we were

It was poor and I’m usually insufferably optimistic. Wieffer gave JPVH a hospital pass, Hinsh had his worst game for the club, Mitoma looks like he needs a good rest, we were piss poor and sloppy first ten minutes. Very, very disappointing. We move the ball too slowly. We miss Webster & Velts & Georgi. What a bloody awful week.

We’ve always overplayed Mitoma. He’s always exhausted.
Guess it’s about data but makes no sense with the eye test.

But of the 8 missing players how many would have started if they were fit? For me it's two. Georginio for O'Riley and Veltman for Jack at rb. You could argue Webster for Dunk but there's not much in that and I suspect if push came to shove most of us would go for Dunk despite his wobbles this season.

The injuries have shorn us of options and bench depth but I don't think we can use it as an excuse for today. It was just poor. Again.
