The worst nightclub you've ever been to and why

I've done my fair share of shitholes.

A club in Abergavenny that played happy hardcore and was full of bigoted welshmen was one. Recessions in Shoreham was another. As was Bensons and Area 51 in worthing. How apt was that name?

Sound in Leicester Square was the night of. Y infamous drinking cider from a shoe episode. Chavvy and rank and overpriced.

The worst, however has to be in good old Brighton. Me and Bevendean Hillbilly went one night after a game to Downstairs at Belushis. Ugly ugly ugly people in an ugly club with DJ Otzi playing and seriously fat pram faces being chatted up by blokes in their magistrates court clothes. White shirt, hanging out, polyester trousers and shite shoes.

Anybody beat that?

Tides in Worthing. No woman under 50 and very few with teeth.

Where's Tides then? I'm sorta out the loop on worthing nightlife. I only ever go to the Wheatsheaf when I'm over there. And surely it can't be worse than the old Area 51? Surely?

Its by the Burlington pub on the front........ actually I think its called something else now come to think of it.

The Warwick has taken over as the 'Grab a Granny' now at weekends.
(so i`ve been told)

Area 51 was originally Flappers wasn`t it ? or Slappers as we called it on a wednesday night.

A club in the Westgate Centre Oxford. I think it has changed its name now. A la Buzzer's Belushi - Full of over-gelled hair chavs in shite suits with rubbish black shoes and chunky silver bracelets and dog ugly women with tattoos galore. Crap music, over-priced drinks. Maniacs fuelled by too much Wkd, Vodka/Red Bull and crappy lager.

The Paradox was a disgrace and have not ventured back there since I was 17.

I did go to a rather dodgy looking club in Brixton - Stockwell Rd, I think. My friend and I were the only white people in the club and they were extremely racist towards us.

Never really a great fan of nightclubs, it has to be said. Give me a late opening pub any day of the week.

I'll see you there.

I remember the old grab a granny night at Illusions. I once pulled this one woman who took me back to hers and, I kid you not, I got a hair from one of her tits stuck in my throat.

Belushi's is pretty good on a Tuesday!!!

The Broadway in Uckfield is AWFUL...

As is anywhere on West Street.

A few places in Wakefield, one in particular, off Westgate as i assessed the crowd, I was certainly uneasy. My mates managed to persuade me, but the bloke being carried out, punched and kicked to bits should have been an even bigger warning.

Inside it was a war zone, any excuse to punch, nut.

Not a nice place.

A club in Pontefract was not as violent but everyone including the wimming were built as brick shithouses, it was just after the miners strike and southern voices, made ears picked up!!

The one at the King Alfred in the mid 70's,
Can't remember what it was called.

There was also one just up from heneky's, up some stairs, which was also crap.

Haha! One of the drawbacks of loving milfs is the droopy boobies. Anyway, I've seen you pulling shapes at the Catfish, BoF. With a rather charming lady too if I recall.

Sounds unlikely! :jester:

Just remembered a nightclub in Bratislava. The bathroom was splattered from top to bottom with blood (a kin to Desperado) and it seemed compulsory to carry a knife. The situation was rescued by spending the evening chatting to two lapdancers that worked in the Lesbian Sex Show at our hotel (City Hotel Bratislava, if my memory serves me correctly).
