West Ham defender Tomas Repka has been arrested on suspicion of harassment.

The Czech Republic international, 30, was taken to Hornchurch Police Station in Essex on Monday afternoon for questioning over the alleged crime.

The incident was reported to police on July 19, and a police spokesperson confirmed a 30-year-man had been taken in for questioning.

"A 30-year-old from the Woodford Green area was today arrested on suspicion of the harassment of a 46-year-old man from the Hornchurch area," the spokesperson declared.

"The allegation was made to Dagenham CID on the 19th of July.

"The man was taken to an East London police station and bailed to return to Barking Police Station on September 6th pending further enquiries."

Repka joined The Hammers in September 2001 from Fiorentina, and played in the club's opening fixture of the new Cola-Cola Championship against Leicester last Saturday.
