Which WC team do you really hate?

...apart from the obvious choices of Argentina and Germany that is.

For me it has to be the USA. I'm really hoping that the septics get their faces ground into the dirt.

Is there any WC team that you really want to see humiliated?

After watching them at the weekend it has to be Serbia and Montenegro. They seem to encompase all that is bad about football including diving, waving pretend cards and a hatfull of other dirty tricks.

Yeah, good call.

Pleased to see that fella get booked for the imaginary card-waving though. Wish more refs would do that.

Portugal, no idea why, but have always disliked Portugese teams. The Germans I admire, they are always there aor thereabouts even when they are shit. The Argies I'd love to hate but they are just a nasty version of Brazil and can play football in a way that England fans can only dream about :(

Not a question of hate so much as taste. I want the Dutch to get elimated early so that all these gaudy orange flags and banners that are filling every street in my neighbourhood and blinding me every time I go outside will get taken down again.

Good football yes, but the colour is just too harsh. Couldn't they have chosen something more tasteful? Red, for example.

I would say Portugal as well. I find them to be quite arrogant.

YOu have got to give it to the Germans. They do everything very well, even something like road sweeping.

I actually get really wound up about the hype on Brazil. Ok Ok the foward line is exceptional but it does my head in the way the commentators wet themselves when a Brazilian does a trick on the ball and yet do not go into overload when a player from another country does the same thing.

In addition the Brazilians can also 'bend the rules' when they feel they can get away with it.

For cheating and diving it's hard to dislike anyone more than the Argies. The ref was taken in, as always seems to happen, and it's business as usual from them. They think they are 'it', so it's great that their neighbours Brazil have always overshadowed them in the game.

After hearing the first few bars of their national anthem on Friday, I was overcome with a wave of Anti (hate is too strong a word for football I think) Germany. Other then them would have to be the Italians, I do despsie the way they are dirty shirt pulling, diving defensively minded cheats. Also the cheek of the fact that they were the first team to reintroduce skin tight shirts so the referee can spot when thet are having their shirts pulled, when they are the worst for doing that.

Fair point but it was convenient shorthand for a thread title.
