How f***ing dire has this ref been today? Every little decision against us, tried to give a pen and got bailed out by his pals. Absolutely appalling.

I don't think we can blame the referee for this defeat. We weren't at our best today. We really needed to score during extra time while we were in the ascendancy. Nothing to do with the ref.

Didn't think he was bad from the NS tbh (and I love a good moan against a ref!). Wasn't the reason we lost. Just a tough match up against a quality side that could have gone either way

This was so Muslim players could break their Ramadan fast, and actually only “benefitted” us due to the only Muslim players involved being ours, with Ayari and Minteh being able to eat and take on fluids. And it was scheduled and signalled by the referee.

Is that what it was? Seriously? Fair enough. A bit of in-stadium explanation wouldn't have gone amiss tho. Most folks around/including me were left puzzled and - has to be said - unimpressed

Except the OP explicitly said he was posting it so can't be blamed for the scoreline. No one would say he was to blame. I thought he and the bloody assistant refs had absolute shockers.
