That would still make the remainder 10 in 25 though? Which is hardly a bad return.. Some of this period is in the Championship too I assume, where he did seem to struggle.
If he was fit I reckon he could still do a job at league one level. But that's my opinion.
As I wrote (probably around post 400 now!)
When a spiral starts, it's difficult to stop. As a young, hot property after scoring the goals that won us promotion, he attracted a lot of praise, attention and responsibility. How does a young player deal with this? How would you, yourself sir, deal...
I'd say there are two extremes. But then, I can't remember all these incidents that people keep implying towards.. And the season we got relegated, the team spirit was shot to bits anyway. Now you could solely blame Leon Knight for this, perhaps none of us have the relevent information to make...
Surely there's still a massive difference between the two comparisons on a more basic level though- that one committed acts, whilst the other merely had a bit of an attitude problem. The latter problem is one that can be fixed, especially with maturity- whereas the former, acts, are much harder...
Quite a wrong comparison, and perhaps slightly offensive even.
Leon Knight is/was a gifted footballer, who scored the goals that got us promoted to the Championship. What let him down was a percieved air of arrogance and a bit of an attitude. Surely if he has now matured and is/has solved...
Would rather agree with you fella. Wouldn't mind Gus at least looking at him. Leon- how would you rate your fitness levels?
Amazed this thread is still going on! Anything worth reading in the last 200 posts?
Sake, some of you are really going on. Surely, when you're a young footballer who's doing very well (which I'm sure attracted attention to him) it is easy to develop a sense of arrogance. And then this sense of arrogance can easily work against you when things start to fall. Who are you to point...
Well for me, I was 14 when he scored THAT goal, and it is probably the best memory I have of supporting Brighton. Opinions are opinions- if you personally don't like him, don't try to force that opinion on others.
Of course, we can't ban free speech but should we be questioning his intentions? I don't particularly want the club rocked by any allegations (as he's said we would be very shocked to hear what went on) at the start of what is quite an important season. This thread could turn very interesting...
