Norman Wisdom was one of the few actor/comedians for whom the word legend should be reserved.

He was from an age where the comedy was clean, entertaining, self deprecating and, let's face it, slapstick! His films may not have been artistic classics, but they certainly were good fun - apparently Charlie Chaplin described him as 'his favourite clown'! Praise indeed!

And of course he was a great fan of Brighton and Hove Albion – so clearly a man of great taste, intellect and sporting knowledge as well.
