Any preferences on here here for using / not using a UV filter on your lens at all times? I've always put one on for protection, so when I noticed a mark (luckily, only a splash) on my brilliant new Canon RF 100-400m glass, I bought an admittedly cheap filter.
It was awful on the long zoom - the camera is a Canon R7 with an APS-C sensor, so we're talking about a 640mm equivalent. I've attached with/without pix for comparison, will send the filter back and do without. I suspect any filter would degrade the image quality at that magnification, but I'm surprised how much.
A lot of people think they do more bad than good if you search online. Personally I am against them.

Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!
Strangely, I did think that last one might be good in black and white, and in the next post, there it was!

Newmarket.
North Pole? 🤔
A fair bit more southerly.

Anywhere near St Abbs Head?
Less more southerly than the North Pole.

If you've ever driven down the road leading to this bay you'll certainly have remembered it.
I went and topped up my fuel in the car before driving down it because I was worried that the small amount of fuel I had in the tank would run to the back of the tank, the engine cut out half way up, and somehow I'd have to do a 3 point turn and reverse up the hill.
A beautiful part of the world all around here

And eee bah gum it is Yorkshire

Might have my DSLR camera with me tomorrow. Can you take those into the Amex or does it need to go in the bag drop?
