I really hate this constant debate but I stumbled across the article on bbc website and was somewhat surprised to see us and Palace getting thown in.

I appreciate we spooned our way into the mix by the somewhat spurious metric of revenue but still mind boggling to be in the conversation. I suspect if you surveyed 100 people 99 would have us in the bottom 3 but another reminder of our meteoric rise over the last decade or so.

pretty weird selections to bring us and Palarse into the frame, allow the Glasgow clubs in, then ignore many other larger clubs from the north and midlands.

I saw the article too but as there was no Leeds or SW I assumed it was fake news.

That BBC poll is awful to do but this is what I put, I presume the bottom 3 were put in as some sort of joke.

Man United
Liverpool
Arsenal
Chelsea
Leeds
Celtic
Rangers
Aston Villa
Newcastle
Everton
Tottenham
West Ham
Man City
Brighton
Palace
Leicester
Sundeland
Aberdeen
Hearts

The biggest clubs in English football for me are Brighton & Hove Albion, Aldershot Town and Whitehawk. All others don't matter- because I don't support them.

The big club debate is a silly willy waving exercise among the third class fans who wear the badge of their chosen tool for the egocentric armchair glory hunt.

I quite like being classed as a small club because when Albion beat a 'big team' the meltdowns and soul searching is a thing to behold.

It also means we stay humble.

Give me a black clad Palace fan who knows what he loves and foolishly adores what he knows, rather than a new merchandise wearing United fan from Woking who spends so much time on their settee and arguing on Facebook that they have bum sores.

I can't think of anything more unfulfilling than being a fan of a 'big club' unless you have a proper story to tell.

Sunderland play in front of home crowds of 40,000+. So they are historically a major club.

You can realistically make a case for either Man Utd or Liverpool. Ultimately they can argue that out between themselves because I don’t give a shit.

But I’m pretty sure Arsenal sang that they’re “by far the greatest team the world has ever seen”. The lying rascals.

People get pissed off and disagree with me every time I say this - but we are a 'big club' now.

We have a huge revenue, large international fan base, and we're an established team in the most watched league in the world now.

What a job TB has done.
You are on a twit roll this evening.

I saw this earlier on Insta and noted they had Celtic on the top of major trophies, but they've only won 1.

That webpage seems to have Rangers in 8th. Rangers were only formed in 2012 and I'm not sure they've won anything?

I wouldn't say 'big club', but I take your point. We are are middling team in the biggest league.

Which begs the question, how big would be if we actually win something?

Has there been some sort of mistake with this? Cant see Leeds or Sheffield Wednesday at the top of those lists...
