On a night of virtually no positives - he was one I thought.

Really impressed with his energy and desire as well as ability. As devastating as Georgi’s injury looks for us as a team in the medium/long term, I thought it was no conicidence that our general performance on the night improved with Gruda on the pitch. Set up our best chance of the game with that beautiful cross to Gomez with his weaker foot too.

Assuming Georgi is out for a while, I really hope Gruda is given a run in the 10 position, looks far more comfortable there than as a winger.

Also, a classy penalty.

Great call.
He’s too one footed to be an effective winger IMO, that said, literally one of the only times he used his right, he stood a beautiful ball up at the far post.

I thought the combination of Gruda and Gomez, looked very good. Which is lucky as it turns out!

Any news on Wieffer (apologies if covered elsewhere but can't see a thread)? Injured or just rested given games coming up? Guessing nobody knows?

I've got someone called Kaoru Mitoma on the line - do you want to take the call?

Oh, and a Yankuba Minteh too.

Injured or sick. Resting a player that has played 70 minutes in 2025?

😂😂 great response

I’ll guarantee you I’ve seen both of those examples use their ‘standing foot’ more than Gruda.

Yesterday was literally the first I’ve seen Gruda use his right foot to kick a ball more than 20 yards (when he clipped it to the back post).
