Surely will be replaced with high tablesFirst visit last night was in there from 6 ,far to many fans sitting down and not actually purchasing anything, not what the club wants I presume, just in there to watch entertainment etc, need to to be sorted
I quite enjoyed it last night. Had a beer upstairs near the stage with some friends, and then went downstairs and met some other friends outside. I'm surprised people are complaining about the queues as in comparison to the concourse queues they were a dream. I was impressed with the amount of bars downstairs, primarily for lager drinkers admittedly.@Stumpy Tim is having a grand old time upstairs with Glen Murray and some other bloke.
This!Chatting about this place last night it does sound like some of the alternative pre match drinking holes in town and elsewhere are seeing a marked downturn in business since this place opened.
So call it an exciting new fan experience or an obvious attempt to bring even more of the pre match spend in house, personally I’d rather give my money to smaller businesses such as the many nice old pubs close to Brighton station. Plus in those I might even get a seat and be able to chat to friends etc. So for those reasons I’m out.
Was heaving downstairs so thought would take a look upstairs. Went to staircase showed Amex card to be grumpily told to go to other staircase. Did just that showed card and grumpily told to join queue. Could not find queue so gave up and went on concourse.
Yep! With a queue for those going up towards the fence by the railway line (ie not a queue where everyone is milling around drinking).Yeah, I think they've got the staircases back to front. Surely it would be better if people went up the staircase closest to the train station and left The Terrace via the staircase closest to the stadium.

Yep.This!
And much like @CheeseRolls says, if that DJ or band say that they want to 'take us higher' or 'everyone bounce' after we've lost a pivotal game in the season again, I'll lose the plot. Its not fun we've just lost.
Possibly because they were "special" but the pubs in town were absolutely heaving before the Thursday games with AEK, Ajax and Marseille.I guess people will want to try it because it’s new. But it won’t be for everyone, and then people to return to what ever they liked doing pre match before.
Whats the capacity like compared to Dicks?
And has there ever been a massive amount of pre match attendance in the pubs before a midweek, especially for a game where the numbers are down?
Judging by all the reports of RefreshmentChaos, I'm just going to treat the Palace beamback as a £6 pay-per-view. If The Terrace manages to serve me up the promised FreeDrinkOnArrival, or indeed in any timely manner without a ScrumFromHell, then I'll treat that as a brucie bonus, else I'll just write it off and go thirsty and watch the game
I guess The Swan is the nearest competitor in terms of distance to The Terrace. But I’m sure those who prefer that kind of experience will be back - they sound very different. In the way that they competed with Dicks and the hospitality lounges before, but had a different clientele possibly.Possibly because they were "special" but the pubs in town were absolutely heaving before the Thursday games with AEK, Ajax and Marseille.
We'd also sometimes go to The Swan for midweek games at the start and end of season when the weather was dryer and warmer and that was always busy in both the pub and the barn. Still managed to get burgers and chips out to the right people quickly though.
Let’s be honest, i doubt there will be any reason for that!!Please God there's no beer luzzing!
The multiple large LED screens are the best i've ever seen for watching a football match. Anywhere. Truly impressive. I watched about 5 mins post match of the Liverpool game whilst waiting last night to catch up witih my group and leave for home..hmmmm, reading all the negative revues on here makes me wonder if I should bother even going on Saturday...
Surely the things folks are moaning about are just teething problems and can be ironed out, or simply folks find something else to moan about and get used to it. I will reserve judgement until my visit on Saturday, No promises I will still be there on 85 minutes though.....
