Glad I tried it. Won’t rush back - too crowded, poor service and too loud (yes, probably an age thing). Will probably go back when the initial novelty wares off. Will be interested to see how they manage it at Palace games

I’ve not been served a single pint since it opened this evening! The service is ridiculous.

Although I am working about 100 miles away, which doesn’t help I suppose.

f***ing hell, it's only the second time in a few days that it has been open to the masses. I personally think it had a great vibe today. If you don't like it, bugger off inside you bunch of miseries.

Arrived an hour before KO and intended to try it as result but frankly couldn’t be bothered when I saw how heaving it was.

Straight to the shelf for another sausage roll

Arrived hour before. Easily smashed a couple back off the mobile beer sellers with virtually no queue

Way better than going straight to concourse

Was heaving downstairs so thought would take a look upstairs. Went to staircase showed Amex card to be grumpily told to go to other staircase. Did just that showed card and grumpily told to join queue. Could not find queue so gave up and went on concourse.

And right at the front of that struggling to get to bar is me😂
And I’m just out of shot to the right! Got there at 5 and it was fine as no crowds. After 5:30 it descended into chaos for those ordering food. Doubt I’ll bother again after unless it’s raining and I’m really early again.

They could really do with a clearly defined queue for upstairs as it’s hard to know where it is with the people drinking

The Swan was absolutely dead again tonight. I think The Terrace is a great addition but I really hope it doesn’t destroy the usual football pubs’ trade. Because it is massively affecting them at the moment.

Arrived at 4.30pm, got a seat no problem, no queue for beer (until about 6pm) and got my food within a minute of ordering (using the screens).

It seems to me that if you want to enjoy the Terrace then an early arrival is pretty important. Anyone arriving tonight much after 6pm might have been better just getting food and drink in the concourses as per usual. All in all a decent experience tonight other than the match!

Used the beer stands on the edge which was fine and no queues. Are there any toilets downstairs you can use?
